I have never done so and need direction on creating a forum for my website. I will need people to be able to create login and passwords and I need to put some filters in place. Do I have that ability through these tools? Please help...

Under your DirectAdmin hosting panel, click on Installatron. You may choose from a selection of forums to install with a click of a button.

My favourite would have to be http://www.forumotion.com
I believe it is user friendly, is easily customisable and fits my needs perfectly. But that is only my opinion. The best is what fits your needs the best.
